Parinaz Ahangar

Parinaz Ahangar is a third year PhD candidate at nanomedicine and biomaterial engineering at University of South Australia. Parinaz started her PhD at the regenerative medicine laboratory under the supervision of Professor Allison Cowin and her thesis focuses on development of a stem cell therapy for the treatment of wounds and burns. She is interested on regenerative medicine, stem cells and cutaneous wound healing. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2011 and Master of Science in pathology and embryology in 2013 from Urmia University under the guidance of Dr. Mohammad Reza Sam working on the effects of fish-oil polyunsaturated Fatty Acids on colorectal cancer cells. After graduation, she worked as a research assistant in pathology lab at Urmia University of Medical sciences working on the effects of biosynthesized nanoparticles on colon and breast cancers.
